About our SchoolThe New York Jidokwan Taekwondo School was founded by 6th degree black belt Master Mark J. Lesly. The NY Jidokwan Taekwondo school is currently run by Master Albert Lee and Instructor Timothy Marmo with help from the New York school's senior black belts, and continues to maintain close ties with our master. We are dedicated to teaching students traditional Taekwondo technique, modern Olympic sport Taekwondo, and Hapkido self-defense techniques. We have a team of Kukkiwon (World Taekwondo Headquarters) certified instructors and are members of U.S.A. Taekwondo. Children's and adult classes are held regularly according to schedules below, and additional times may be available. If you're curious or would like to see a class, please drop by, we maintain an open-door policy during class hours and would be more than happy to host visitors. Classes for ChildrenWe pride ourselves on providing the highest quality of instruction with small class sizes and engaging instruction. Our goal is that every student learns and improves their technique and mindset during every lesson. Children will not only develop new physical skills, but will also be developing mental acuity, patience, self-control, and most important of all, a sound, indomitable sprit. We do our best to prepare our students so that they may emerge unharmed from dangerous situations at school or on the street. The well-being of our students is our primary concern. Our children's classes are taught by Master Albert Lee at the Rod Rodgers Dance Studio on the following days:
Classes for AdultsWe strive to maintain a welcoming environment and instruction for students of all ages, genders, and levels of athletic ability. Our adult classes, also at Rod Rodgers, are taught by Master Albert Lee and Instructor Timothy Marmo on the following days:
